CIIR Phd alum Jeff Dalton, School of Computing Science faculty at the University of Glasgow, is a recipient of the prestigious Turing AI Acceleration Fellowship. Dr. Dalton is one of 15 selected in 2020 for the Fellowship which is named after Alan Turing, a pioneer in artificial intelligence. As part of the Fellowship, according to the University of Glasgow, Dalton will receive funding for five years to work on "new forms of conversational artificial intelligence to improve the capabilities of voice-based virtual personal assistants."
